Military Medicine Features TSNRP-Funded EBP Projects

TSNRP

Military Medicine released its January/February 2024 supplement titled "Advancing Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in Military Nursing," featuring recently completed EBP projects funded by TSNRP within the military healthcare system (MHS).

Articles focus on clinically-focused projects aimed to:

  • Implement a prevention program for perioperative pressure injuries

  • Improve perioperative nursing competencies for labor and delivery nurses

  • Advance nurse-led congestive heart failure clinics

  • Address burnout with a mindfulness toolkit.

Available online at https://academic.oup.com/milmed/issue/189/Supplement_1, the supplement also covers EBP projects calling for infrastructure to advance EBP within MHS including:

  • Analysis to identify EBP barriers and solutions

  • Expansion of military education programs to advance readiness

  • Development of a standard EBP process within the Defense Health Agency

  • Integration of benchmark data and key indicators into EBP projects

  • Correlation of graduate nurse education and QSEN competencies.
