Airport Transport

> Taxis: Terminal A & B, lower-level, outside baggage claim. Fares start at $29/cab.
> Go Airport Shuttle: Terminal A & B, lower-level, outside baggage claim. Fares: $19 one way. 
> Rental cars are not authorized for TSNRP-sponsored travelers.

Hotel
 

> Deadline: Reservations should be made by each traveler NO LATER THAN 1 APRIL 2024
> For group rate reservations: The Gunter Hotel
    $143 USD/ night
    Start Date: Saturday 14 April 2024
    End Date: Saturday 20 April 2024

Parking

Subject to availability and change.
> Valet for hotel-registered guests: $44 + 8.25% tax daily
> Parking in hotel: $20 + tax daily
> Bus parking in hotel: $125 + tax daily
> Travis Plaza Parking Garage is .3 miles from hotel at 207 E. Travis Street

Dress

> Military presenters: Military Service Uniform (formerly Class A attire).
> Civilian/ retiree presenters and attendees: Business casual attire.
> Military attendees: Duty uniform of the day
> Navy participants: For presentations, Sumer Whites or Dress Blues for presentations. For course attendance, uniform of the day (either khakis or summer whites).

Wellness

> Wellness and physical activities, including group walks, runs, and core training, are available daily.
> Please bring workout gear or comfortable clothing to participate.
> Laughter yoga kicks off the first day!

> All meals are on your own.

Weather

> Average temps in April : High 81F/Low 58F, sunny and dry
> Sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended for daytime outdoor activities, and a light jacket for cool evenings.

COVID Precautions

> All attendees must have a negative at-home rapid COVID test, taken 3 days prior to attendance. If positive for COVID, please email us immediately.
> Masking is encouraged and not required. Masks will be available to the event check-in desk daily.
> Please see the most recent CDC and DoD guidance for all other COVID mitigation efforts.

Onsite Event

Check In

> Daily: 0700 to 0800
> Download and complete the Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax Exemption Certificate [pdf] and provide to the front desk during check-in AND upload to DTS.

Presenters

>You will present during a live virtual session. The presentation order will be released in early April 2024.
 
> Lightening Round Presenters: There is NO opportunity to adjust slides, prior to or during the course. If new data is available, please add that information verbally during your presentation.

Nursing Contact Hours

> Credits are available for each day you attend the course for up to 24.16 Nursing Contact Hours (pending approval).
> An evaluation survey is available in the course website/app, and will automatically generate after you complete the event.
> Attendees must complete and submit evaluations electronically to receive contact hours.

Travel Vouchers

> File your travel voucher ASAP, and no later than 5 days after the course ends.
> The Per Diem lodging amount may default to a lower nightly rate, if less expensive hotels are nearby. If the default amount is less than the actual hotel rate:
. . . .  Check the box that states "actuals" when claiming hotel expense to be reimbursed the full amount.
. . . .  Enter a justification during the final audit step. State hotel arrangements were booked by TSNRP in advance.
> Add any hotel taxes and fees to "additional expenses."
> Upload all receipts for costs more than $75 including airfare and hotel receipts.
> Travel vouchers are reviewed by your local travel office, and then a 3-step USUHS review process. It may require several days to receive reimbursement.
> Questions? Ask your unit DTS official before contacting TSNRP.
